Guide for a seamless, memorable day

To capture your wedding day in the most beautiful, natural, and cinematic way possible, it's essential to plan ahead for a smooth and well-organized day. These tips will help you feel relaxed and ensure we create stunning, timeless images together.

1. Well-Planned Timeline

A carefully thought-out timeline is the foundation of a stress-free day. I recommend setting aside specific times for each key part of the day:

Private Couple Portraits: At least an hour of portraits with your boo!

Wedding Party Photos: 20 minutes

Family Portraits: 20 minutes

Sunset Portraits: If you're open to it, sunset portraits can add breathtaking, golden-hour magic to your album. Be sure to leave room for 15-20 minutes of this beautiful light.

2. Private Vows

Might I suggest exchanging private vows before your ceremony or during a quiet moment afterward? This intimate gesture can create powerful, emotional images that reflect the authenticity of your love. Plus, it's a special moment just for the two of you—away from the excitement of the day.

3. Stay inseparable

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to stick close to each other throughout the day. When you're together, sharing intimate moments and genuinely enjoying each other's presence, it naturally translates into beautiful, emotional images. The more connected and present you are with one another, the more your love will shine through in every shot. Being inseparable on your wedding day, exchanging glances, holding hands, and soaking in every moment as a team creates magic in your photos.

4. Flatlay Detail Shots

Don’t forget to bring along your ‘Save the Date’ and formal invitation cards. These details can be incorporated into flatlay shots that highlight the personal touches of your wedding. These items, along with any special heirlooms or personal tokens, help tell the full story of your day and add depth to your album.

5.Have a Backup Plan for Weather

Weddings can be unpredictable, and weather is one element out of our control. A Backup Plan for rainy days, like a cozy indoor location or elegant umbrellas, ensures that no matter the weather, your day and your photos will be just as beautiful and stress-free.

6. Getting Ready Moments

The hours before your ceremony are filled with anticipation and excitement, providing perfect opportunities for capturing authentic, candid moments. I recommend setting aside 45 minutes to an hour for this. A clean, clutter-free space ensures your photos will be timeless, capturing your final touches, shared laughs, and the tender moments before you walk down the aisle.

7. First Look (Optional)

A private First Look can be one of the most emotional and intimate moments of your day. It allows you to see each other for the first time in a private, quiet setting, away from the crowd. This moment not only offers a genuine reaction but also allows us to capture some beautiful portraits before the ceremony begins, which can free up more time for you to enjoy with guests afterward.

8. Consider an Unplugged Ceremony

An Unplugged Ceremony is when you ask your guests to put away their phones and cameras and be present with you during this special moment. It ensures that I capture clear, uninterrupted photos, free of phones in the aisles, and guests can fully immerse themselves in your ceremony.

9. Plan for Natural Light

Lighting is key in creating cinematic, breathtaking images. If possible, schedule your portraits during the best natural light – early in the day or around Golden Hour (an hour before sunset) – for softer, more flattering images. Harsh midday sun can create unflattering shadows, so planning around the light will make all the difference.

10. Trust the Process

The best images come from genuine moments of joy and love. Relax, take deep breaths, and trust the process. My job is to make sure you feel comfortable and capture your love story in the most authentic way. With a well-organized plan and by staying connected throughout the day, we’ll create breathtaking, timeless photos that you will cherish forever.

Your wedding is a celebration of your love, and I'm honored to be there to document it. Let's make it unforgettable!
